Sarah Boostrom, M.D.

Board Certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery

Dr. Sarah Boostrom has been practicing colorectal surgery in the DFW area since 2013. She is board certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of General Surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center before completing her residency in general surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She then completed her fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Mayo Clinic and subsequently stayed on as faculty before moving to Texas.

Dr. Boostrom is the recipient of the Kaare K. Nygaard Excellence in Clinical Research Award as well as the Mayo Brothers Distinguished Fellow Award. Dr. Boostrom is currently a member of many prestigious surgical societies, has authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and has presented nationally and locally throughout her career.

Dr. Boostrom was the founder of Colon and Rectal Surgical Consultants of North Texas. She offers patients a multi-disciplinary approach to care and is dedicated to utilizing advanced technologies in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of colorectal disorders and disease. She is experienced in minimally invasive surgical techniques that include laparoscopy and robotics.
